Team Spotlight: Oyinda Bamgbose
In this instalment of our Team Spotlight series, we sat down with CharlieHR’s Customer Experience Manager Oyinda Bamgbose to hear more about what she gets up to every day at work.
What’s your job title?
I’m a Customer Experience Manager.
What does your role entail?
I look after our customers, making sure they are successfully using our product and happy with it.
What were you doing before this?
I was a City Launcher at Wriggle.
What’s the best part of your job?
The people I work with!
What’s the hardest thing about your job?
Because I frequently speak to customers and hear their feedback, I often take on their point of view. New features and developments that customers would like are often on the to-do list but may not always currently be at the top, as we’re working on other features. This can be frustrating as we’re keen to help solve as many challenges for clients as we can!
What’s the most surprising thing about your job?
A lot of it is problem solving. You have to figure out what’s going on before you can resolve people’s queries.
What are the key skills involved in your role?
Empathy and communication skills are key. Writing skills are important too.
What advice would you give to someone looking to pursue a career in your area?
Get in contact with companies that you love. Just do it.
If you weren’t doing this job, what would you do?
I’d be working at another startup or for a think tank.
What are you passionate about outside of work?
I love capoeira (an Afro Brazilian martial art), sewing and food!
